Lilly Schneider is a fiction writer and editor from the Pacific Northwest. Her short stories have appeared in The Gettysburg Review, Passages North, Willow Springs, Puerto Del Sol, New South Journal, December, Hobart, and numerous other journals. Her work has been nominated for Best of the Net and Best American Essays, and her stories have been listed both as honorable mention and in the top 25 of Glimmer Train’s Short Story Award for New Writers. In 2019, the Vermont Studio Center awarded her a residency and a fellowship award and she was Fiction Editor of Longleaf Review from 2018-2021. She holds a B.F.A. in Writing, Literature & Publishing from Emerson College in Boston (2011) and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing - Fiction from the University of Wyoming in Laramie (2017), where she taught English composition and creative writing. She lives in a perfectly nice barn in the great state of Washington.
